Matt Tillotson grew up chasing deer and elk in the rugged mountains of central Idaho, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a deep respect for the process it takes to be consistently successful. He now lives with his family in western Wyoming — a location that allows him to stay close to the mountains, wildlife, and the backcountry hunts he’s spent decades perfecting.
Over the last 25+ years, Matt has built a reputation for being one of the most dedicated and methodical big game hunters in the West. He hunts multiple states each fall. His personal passion lies in hunting high-country mule deer — but his experience lends to helping hunters with elk, antelope, and even less-common tags, which speaks to his versatility and experience.
Matt’s hunting knowledge isn’t just talked about — it’s documented. His YouTube channel features raw, uncut hunting footage that reflects the real grind of DIY Western hunts. He’s been featured in major hunting magazines, on popular hunting podcasts, and continues to mentor new and experienced hunters alike.
Beyond the field, Matt is a strategist. He’s spent years diving into application systems, unit trends, and draw odds, building plans that help hunters draw the right tags at the right time. His calm, no-BS approach is what clients appreciate most — whether he’s helping someone burn their points on a once-in-a-lifetime tag or just getting them started in the game.
